Custom Build-Out | Remodeling | Shorewood MN

This customer called Wuensch Construction to complete a Remodeling Custom Build-Out in their commercial Building “Beacon Bank” in Shorewood Minnesota for new tenants that would be occupying the existing suite space. The new tenants were “Minnetonka Psychology and Wellness” which they were moving from Bloomington Minnesota space to their new space in Shorewood. They wanted a more of a home environment for their customers rather than an office space. Wuensch Construction designed the existing space to accommodate the new tenant’s ideas. First the tenants wanted one more enclosed office area for their office supplies, storage and copier. Second they wanted a break room with a cabinet area with a sink and 2 small refrigerators. Third they wanted a projector wall that they could project high-resolution pictures or movies onto for their customers. Fourth they wanted more a pleasurable wall paint color scheme rather than wall paper to make their customers feel more at home rather than an office. Wuensch Construction met and exceeded the new tenant’s expectations of their new office space which made our customers very happy.

Kitchen Remodeling | Shorewood MN|Wuensch Construction

This customer in Shorewood Minnesota called Wuensch Construction out of Excelsior Minnesota to update there Kitchen and Family Room area for the holidays. Looking over the area with the customers decided the floor was the only thing that was outdated and needed to be replaced. The existing oak cabinets were in great shape and counter tops were granite. The family room floor flowed into the kitchen area and was a mix of old ceramic tile and old oak hardwood flooring with plugs in it. We decided there was an over whelming amount of oak in both rooms. Wuensch Construction designed to install 3-1/2” Hickory Common hardwood flooring with a natural finish to blend in with the existing oak wood work.

The finish product was amazing!

House Remodeling | Basement Remodeling | Minneapolis | Wuensch Construction

This client in Minneapolis called Wuensch Construction to get advice on how to have a more open floor plan on the first floor and to finish off there basement. Wuensch Construction came up with a design for both area’s that the client liked so much they hired us to do the work. First the main floor plan (House Remodeling) had a dining room enclosed with wall that supported the existing ceiling and roof trusses. We came up with a plan to remove the supporting  wall and replace it with a blind  header into the existing ceiling. We removed the walls area the existing stair case and installed new railing around it. We also removed the existing window and replaced it with a new patio door for more light and access to the back yard. We match the existing race track ceiling so it would flow thru the existing house.

Second we came with a plan to finish off the existing un-finish basement (Basement Remodeling). We work around the existing wood burning masonry fireplace. We installed 2 new egress windows, one in the bedroom which they use as an office and one in the rec room. We waterproofed all existing block walls and then framed a 2×4 wall in front of existing block wall. Insulated the new 2×4 walls with R-13 Insulation for warmer basement. Then we removed existing steel dropped beam and replaced it with a new blind header in the first floor joists system. Sheetrock all the new walls and ceiling. Match the ceiling with the existing smooth ceilings throughout the house. We recessed the existing breaker box into the new wall with a door for access. We removed 3/4 of the stair wall so we could install new railing to match the up stairs railing and give it a more open feeling as you came down the stairs.

Hopefully this will help to give you some remodeling idea’s for your house or basement.
