Kitchen Remodeling | Excelsior, MN | Wuensch Construction

This customer on Lake Minnetonka in Excelsior, Minnesota call Wuensch Construction thinking they had to totally remodel their existing kitchen. After meeting with them we decided they only had to bring their kitchen and other details in their house up to date. We started with the existing flush panel hollow core doors in the hallway and installed solid core 6 panel oak doors. On the existing oak parqake flooring we covered with a dark vinyl wood grain flooring to contrast with the white cabinets. We put a fresh coat of paint on the existing cabinets and installed new Granite counter tops. We install new stainless under mount sink and touch faucet with new stainless steel appliances.

Happy New Year 2013 | Wuensch Construction

Well the New Year is right around the corner and people will start thinking about their personal resolutions. Well how about your home renovations resolutions? Whether you are planning a kitchen remodel, bathroom remodel, or any home remodeling projects for 2013, this is the time to start planning. Most remodeling resolutions are forgotten within the first week of the New Year. The problem with resolutions is that they are too vague, so here are some tips from Wuensch Construction so you can accomplish your remodeling resolution.

1)     Make a wish list; this is always the first step in making your wish come true.  Prioritize your list with your “must have” items at the top of the list, less critical items at the bottom of the list.

2)     Set a budget and stick with it.

3)     The next step will take a more little time.  Gather all the information on the type of project you are trying to complete. You can do this by surfing the world-wide net to familiarize yourself with the process. You will find thousands upon thousands of pages of information about your project. Take it slow and don’t let this discourage you.

4)     Sketch out your dream on paper; this is a very important step most individuals forget. You can try to do this yourself with some computer software or have it done by a professional.  Sketches or drawings can help you to visualize your dream and will help the contractor understand your desires.

5)     By spring you will be on track to start your project on your own or with the help of a professional contractor.

6)     Stick with your remodeling resolution and Don’t Let Another Year Pass You By.

Make 2013 the year you complete your home renovations.

Happy New Year!
